Winners!

Four poster award finalists presented their posters at the CINF Reception in Chicago! The Division judges decided to give Awards for Scientific Excellence to:

• Karim Malekzadeh’s poster on “Resolving Competing RNA Folds in the SARS-CoV-2 Frameshifting Element”;

• Magdalena Lederbauer’s poster on “Mapping materials science: A multi-modal toolbox to curate broad synthesis procedure databases from scientific literature”; and

• Xiaoqui Sun's poster on "Warm-Starting Bayesian Optimization for Chemical Reaction Optimization with Learned Reaction Condition Recommendations."

Sanjana Srinivas (University of Delaware) and Huw Williams (University of Strathclyde) also qualified as finalists, though Mr. Williams was unable to make it in time to present his poster.

If you are a graduate student or post-doc and have submitted a poster abstract for the upcoming spring meeting in New Orleans that touches on a topic related to chemical information, you may be eligible for the award.
