This award is presented by the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) of the American Chemical Society (ACS) to recognize outstanding posters presented by graduate and postdoctoral students working in chemical information and related sciences for scientific their excellence and to foster their involvement in CINF.
Up to three awards valued at $500 each will be presented at each ACS National Meeting.
Applicants must:
be enrolled at a certified college or university;
be available to present a poster during the CINF Welcoming Reception and the Sci-Mix at a National Meeting;
have already submitted a poster abstract electronically through the ACS MAPS system before the deadline for the meeting in question;
send the assigned abstract number to Bob Clark along with an extended (up to 2,000 words long) abstract describing the work to be presented in more detail. Deadlines for applications are March 1 for posters for the Spring Meeting and July 15 for posters for the Fall Meeting.

Winners will be chosen by the Division Awards Committee based on contents, presentation, and relevance of the poster, and they will be announced at the meeting. The contents shall describe the student’s scientific work and bear on research in the field of cheminformatics and related sciences. Winning posters will be marked as "Winner of a CINF Award for Scientific Excellence" at subsequent poster sessions.
