G. W. A. (Bill) Milne

G. W. A. (Bill) Milne , Ph.D. (University of Manchester, UK, 1960) spent over 32 years as a research chemist as the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethseda, MD. After 12 years working in mass spectrometry, he began specializing in chemical databases and search systems and currently works in molecular modeling. He collaborated in the design and implementation of the NIH/EPA Chemical Information System (CIS) in 1970 and in 1981 implemented the National Cancer Institute's Drug Information System. He has published over 160 papers and books and has been the Editor-in-Chief of the ACS Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences since 1989.
